Client Requirements
Following on from a 2015 review of major trauma care across Greater Manchester, the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust was successful in securing funding for a new major trauma facility on the Salford Royal Hospital site. The facility will support patients from across Greater Manchester by bringing together major trauma activity in a single centre of excellence, with the most cutting-edge technology available to improve survival changes. The facility was designed to reduce time to treatment for the most acutely ill patients where every second counts, with patients able to be in theatre within 90 seconds of landing on the rooftop helipad.
